Brief Description: Fuel Tank Service Bulletin Compliance
Got bored this evening so went and leak tested the left fuel tank using a foot pump and a balloon, as per the instructions with the Vans leak testing kit. I screwed the access cover on with the cork gasket and the old screws for now; don't care much if that leaked (it didn't). The flop tube fitting looks to be ok though, which was my main concern after removing and re-fitting it to comply with the bulletin. I then went to great lengths to tape up all the outlets in preparation for priming (at the same time as I do the top wing skins). Of course, I completely forgot that after I remove the cover and replace it with proseal and new screws I shall want to leak test it again. Doh! Oh well...
