A friend I used to work with dropped round today so I put him to work helping me deburr the holes in the wing ribs. He was only able to help for half an hour or so before his other half stole him away, but he'll be back!! Thanks Derrick. Deburred the spar and skin attach holes, tooling holes and wiring conduit holes. Rubbed down any scratches, marks, burrs, etc with 600 grit wet and dry so the whole rib is smooth as. Removed the sticky labels with a sharp knife and the adhesive left behind with meths. Rubbed the whole rib down with a scotchbrite pad and dimpled the reear spar attach tab. Finally rubbed off my written numbers with meths and tagged each rib so I know where it lives on the spar. I have simply numbered them one to fourteen starting at the outboard rib (wing tip) and going in towards the wing root. I made up some little tags with engraved numbers and simply cable tied them through a tooling hole. The ties are resistant to the degreaser and the alodine I'll be using to prep the ribs so its all good. Hopefully the weather will be ok this Sunday and I can get these things cleaned, alodined and primed and then next week we'll be able to start the assembly of the skeleton.
