Brief Description:  Canopy fitting

I collected the canopy frame from the painters today and they've done an ok, if not great, job. I noticed there was some small bits of debris, dust maybe, under the paint in a few paces. Otherwise it seems ok, and the colour match is good too, though it is a matt and not a gloss finish. I first had to remove the paint from the hoop so the rollers would fit back in, then the same where the 3/16" cotter pin goes through the slide block at the aft end. I then also had to make some adjustments to the retaining pins and also remove the paint from the last 15mm or so. Finally, I had to open the holes in the retaining blocks by one size and now everything fits snug. Next job, tomorrow or some other night, will be to fit the little rubber spacers that will allow for the sikaflex gap. Then I need to do some more reading and find out the story with when to do the canopy latch and all that jazz. Still, back to making some progress and the frame is looking good :-)
