Fitted the fibreglass tips to the horizontal stabilizer. Marked tips for trimming but have not cut them back yet. Also drilled & fitted the elevator tips but the 'ledge' that fits under the skin will have to be widened on both since it is not uniform and in some places is under the skin, which obviously causes the skin to be raised in that area. Hard to explain, but easy to understand if you see it. Have yet to dimple/countersink for the rivets as I'm awaiting a response from the guys on Vansaiforce.net with regard to finishing. Also wondering about bonding some .020 Al strip on the inside of the tips to provide something for the pop rivets to bear against rather than the bare fibreglass.
