Trimmed the HS skin as per Vans advice (and as instructed on dwg3). Elevator now swings freely. Also noted that I hadn't shaped the counterweight. Was unable to get it out of the elevator so shaped it very carefully in place. It took ages as I had to go slow and easy to avoid damaging or putting to much stress on the elevator. Came out ok though. Also cut a notch in the HS spar to allow the elevator horn to have increased down travel. Went from 15 degrees to 30 degrees so now have more than enough. Next job will be to drill the hole in line with the VA-146 bearing, but I need to obtain a drill bush of some sort first.
