Drilled the center rail & spacer for #6 screws. Countersunk for double-flush 3/32 rivets and the top side for #6 screws. I elected after all to go ahead and drill the 5/16" lightening holes. I've got 32 holes in the main part of the spacer (I didn't do the bent bit). It started out at 255g and finished at 220g; a whopping great 35g saving for half an hour of additional effort. Worth it? Dunno, but its done now.
Finally I cleaned, edge-finished, deburred and scotchbrighted. Next job is to primer these parts and then attach them to the fuselage (need to primer that too where the rail sits over the F-825 top skin). I'll probably do the side rails first though so I can primer those at the same time.
