Decided to build a jig to hold the various parts of the empennage while I assemble and rivet them. I feel a lot happier this way. The uprights are spaced at 114" which is what is specified for the wings when the time comes, so the time & money is not wasted. The picture shows the HS skeleton loosedly clampled in placed. This will keep it off the work table while I work on deburring and dimpling the skins. I also built two 600x600 carpet covered platforms to go either side of the C-frame dimpler when I'm dimpling skins; won't easily make yesterday's screw up again!
