My planned week has already been thrown into disarray so I didn't really achieve much today. I trial fitted the aileron hinge brackets and realised I need to countersick some hols for AN426 rivets. I did that, but of course they then needed re-priming in the holes. I also drilled the mounting holes for the W-414-L hinge bracket in the outboard rib. I also realised that I had forgotton to prime the inboard rib of the fuel tank after I had done the service bulletin mod. So I decided to do that. I already had the tank on the wing with all the screws and bolts in place and torqued up, so I didn't really want to have to pull it all down again. I carefully masked out the spar, skins and fittings and threw some primer at both the tank, the aileron hinge bracket countersinks and the holes in the outboard wing rib. After that, I decided to rivet the sixteen stiffeners to the aileron skin. I did that after taking the dog for a walk, though, to try to allow the primer fumes to dissipate a little. I also worked with the main garage door open and a fan on high speed blowing air away from me and out of the door; no fumes for me; sweet! :-)
