Brief Description:  Rivetting top outboard wing skin

Derrick turned up while I was just finishing up the priming of a whole load of parts (see previous log entry). Rather than just stand around I had him finish putting in all the bolts and screws attaching the fuel tank and then torque everything up as required (we went for 27in-lbs). Once I'd done the priming we got stuck in to the top outboard wing skin. Got most of the way through it before Derrick had to leave to attend to some chores at home. I'll have to drill out about a dozen or so rivets that I'm not happy with, and hopefully Derrick will be able to pop back for an hour or so tomorrow or Tuesday just to finish of the last couple of ribs. We've made some major progress this weekend, so over the coming week we'll be able to crack on with everything that needs sorting inside the wing before the bottom skins go on. I also have the aileron itself to work on if I get stuck on anything that needs a second set of hands (unless Jackie can help me out, but she's real busy studying at the moment). I also found out that I seem to have lost one of the com-3-5 bearings from the aileron hinge brackets; I have to order some other stuff from Vans anyway, so I'll get them to chuck one in for me.
