Didn't get that much done tonight due to limited time available to me. Removed the leading edge from the wing and deburred all the holes in the W-423 joint plate and the W-408-1L rib. Dimpled the holes in the rib and then 'touched them up' with the hand deburring tool to remove some more metal and allow a better fit for the joint plate & skin (as per Vans instructions). Used the Avery nutplate drilling jig to drill the W-423 joint plate for the K1100-8 nutplates; too easy - had them all done in just a few minutes. Edge finished the joint plate and then dimpled all the #19 holes with the #8 dimple dies for the AN509-8R8 screws. Dimpled the 3/32" rivet holes #40. Again, touched up the dimples where the leading edge skin gets rivetted. Finally, dimpled 14 nutplates ready to be fitted to the joint plate once it has been cleaned and primed - they fit much better when they are dimpled, since they don't kind of wobble around on top of the dimpled skin; if you see what I mean...
