Finished prepping all the ribs for the left wing. Now we have to start drilling the holes for the wiring conduit and pitot tubing before we reassemble onto the spars for match drilling. Made a drilling template to drill the wiring conduit hole in the loaction specified per the Vans instructions off their website. Used a piece of channel that I had lying around. This enables me to cleco the template in place; also cut out a crescent to allow a cleco to grab the other side (see pic). A bit of overkill maybe, but I'm sure it will tunr out to have been worth while. Thank God the edge finishing is over. To all those builders that think the whousands of rivets is the worse thing; bah phooey - its the edge finishing off *all* the parts that hisses me off!! No matter; for tomorrow... we drill :-)
