Brief Description:

1) Many hours later, I now have a LE on the wing, and am fuitting it to the bottom. The top has already been clecoed The white sheet is part of the failed LE canabalized for its rivet spacing use as a template. It seemed to work, but was ackward to use. Note the recommended wood runners between the taraps and the LE to help prevent unwanted damage. that worked also.

Strap tension was not very much. these straps were pretty wide..maybe 2 inches, and sort of way over kill on duty rating..maybe 1500 lbs? I would say 250 lbs would be much cheaper and probably would work, but are not as wide. might need to do more with the boards to prevent the smaller straps from doing damage

2) Said straps go over the , in this case the bottom ..of the LE, and around the table top to attempt to get a straight pull on them. I didnt want to put too much compression front to rear on the wing structure and bend a rib. I also positioned the strap over the ribs and not between then. It all appeard to work
