Brief Description: Vert stab strobe mount

1---Man I didnt like cutting my brand new part with a big bad hole saw, but I think it came out fine. The bottle was for sizing, and initially I was wanting to include it in the fiberglass layup, but dicided not to because I wasnt certain of the epoxy's ability to stay stuck to it. So I removed it. I put two right-left side stifeners on the lower edge of the cap just to hold shape for the layup process.
2- The underside, first thoughts. I removed the bottle and the practice layup tape.
3--The initial layup. The top isnt glassed in, but I guess it appears so here. I want to put a .032 ring for support of the strobe canopy and positive securement. I have not done that up to this photo. The weather here just now is a bit too cold in the shop, and I dont want to run the open flame heater whilst I am using these chemicals, as I might expire prematurely, if you know what I mean...ka--booom! So, this is where I have stopped for the turkey day festivities. I have done a bit of general clean up.
The next big project is to get the EAA tech counselor to come visit and tell me where I am wrong! I will gladly accept his input, as well as anyone else who spots something interesting.
