Brief Description:  Windshield and Canopy Installation

I have spent the last week working on installing the windshield and canopy. The windshield was mostly pretty easy, but I managed to twist the head off of one of the screws that goes in the windshield bow. I will have to get one of those special tools to remove it. Also, some of the washers that sit under the screw heads are not sitting quite flat. This is because I didn't get the screw holes in at a 90 degree angle to the windshield in some spots. I will go back and fix those once I have the canopy fitted. The canopy has been taking a lot of time. I have been going through many iterations of fitting and trimming to get it the right size and shape. I can tell that the windshield bows are also still not quite the right shape, so I am still going to have to do some fiddling with those as well. At this point, I have pilot holes drilled along the front canopy bow and the left and right edges. I have some trimming to do along the rear edge of the canopy before I can drill the pilot holes in the rear canopy bow.I have included a picture of my painted Aerovee crankcase. I decided that I would take some time to get that painted so it would be ready once I start my engine assembly.
