I performed several miscellaneous tasks on the landing gear hardware. I cleaned up the steel parts and prepped them for painting. The axle spacers need zinc chromate primer, and I am painting the other steel parts where they have been drilled, filed, or scratched in order to prevent corrosion. I drilled the bolt holes for securing the brake assemblies to the axles. I also ground down the edges of the brake pad cam as has been advised by other builders. This is to allow smoother operation of the brakes. I took the opportunity to sand the Van's NACA inlet vents to get rid of rough edges and make them nice and smooth for painting. I will be mounting them soon.
