Brief Description:  Cover Both sides of Fuselage

I covered both sides of the fuselage. I started with the left side since it has the handle used to maneuver the aircraft on the ground. Getting the fabric fitted around the handle made the left side a little harder. I used the blanket method the same as used on the bottom of the fuselage. The hardest part was getting the fabric to make the inside curve where the front of the vertical
stabilizer transitions into the top stringer. There were times when I just didn’t think it was going to work. Knowing that others have done it before gave me the confidence to go on. The Stewart’s process made this much easier than a solvent based glue. Since your working with dry glue, there is no rush to get the fabric in place. Also no need for any clamps to hold the fabric in place. You
just press the fabric into the glue and stays put temporarily. When it’s in the right place you go over it with an iron and it’s bonded.

The Stewart’s STC calls for a one inch overlap where the fabric is attached to other fabric. I went with about one and a half inches just to be safe.

I shrunk the fabric to 250 degrees. It’s all flat, no puckers, life is good.
