Brief Description: Installed Vertical Stab & Top Stringer
Finished installing the vertical stabilizer. I had previously fitted the vertical stab but did not finish the installation so that I would be able to roll the fuselage upside down while I covered the bottom. Now that the bottom is covered there should be no reason to roll it all the way over again. I can still roll it over about 120 degrees without the top of the stabilizer touching the floor. I treated the front and rear attach points with joining compound and fitted the stabilizer back in place. I temporally installed the rudder to make sure it still fit and moved freely. I secured the stabilizer with a bolt in the front and rivets in the rear in holes I had drilled previously. I treated the bolt and rivets with joining compound. I torqued the AN3 bolt to 25ftlbs and marked it with torque seal.
I fitted and installed the top stringer with one rivet and Hysol adhesive.
