I opened the Hysol for the first time and found the resin had thickened so much it was unusable. I looked on the internet and found where others had heated the resin to get it to thin out. Someone said they had good results with a microwave oven, others said they immersed the can in hot water. I wrapped the can in black plastic and put it in the sun which worked well. By afternoon it was soft and pliable.
I mounted the rear window frames to the airframe with Hysol. My first time using the epoxy. It’s easy to work with but as I heard, it’s a little messy. I taped everywhere I didn’t want epoxy and it came out pretty nice.
