Brief Description: Notched L-Bracket for Wing Root
When I started to assemble the wing-root components it was evident that bucking those nose-rivets on the wing root rib would be impossible. I must have thought about this for a good hour before giving in and seeking advice. Last week I had lunch with a good friend, Joe Kollar and he recommended using pulled rivets for the two or three locations where bucking would be impossible. I can't believe that didn't come to mind earlier, but there you go. Experience wins out over ignorance every time. :-)
In the end I found the best way to do this was with a Dremel tool and the two attachements you see in the picture. For the notches that are in the open, I finished off with the Scotch-Brite Wheel of the grinder.
I still must paint the part one more time to make things match, but it's essentially done. Next up is the vent line and the fitting through the wing root.
