Brief Description: End Rib Platenuts and Reinforcement Ring
Finished with the right tank end-rib tonight. Quite happy with how it turned out. Felt good to start riveting again. Have a few ideas for the left rib on how to better center the cover plate and ring. The pain in this process was the vent hole pre-drilled in the rib. The gasket and cover will just barely cover that hole.
I started the left rib tonight and although I have the cover almost perfectly centered, there is about 1/32" of that vent hole open to fuel. I will head to the hangar tomorrow and retrieve the pro-seal. Should be fun trying to seal that hole and then riveting the ring in place. Wish me luck. ;-)
