Two good nights. Yesterday I notched out the wing-stand bracket and mounted W-702 for the right outboard wing. It took a while to figure out the orientation and correct hole pattern. It also proved difficult cleco'ing to the ribs. Finally got it th ough. I will need to start match-drilling the next time I stop at the hangar.
Tonight I had good intentions of getting some real work done, but instead I got hung up hanging the left wing on the stand. Quite the chore my yourself! I then noticed one of the ribs was not riveted to the rear spar. I have no idea what I was thinking and how I skipped that somehow. So...I managed to screw that up somewhat by squeezing the wrong length rivet in there. I then royally messed things up trying to drill it out while mounted on the stand. I'll never make that mistake again.
Will need to go oversize on the replacement rivet now. No big deal but still frustrating. Anyway...build on! As they say. :-))
