Brief Description: Rudder Stiffeners and VS Rear Spar
Finally wrapped up prep on the stiffeners. Had to trim each piece, sand it down on the belt sander, file edges, prep with sandpaper, and finally polish with Scotch Brite Wheel. After that I buffed them with the gray Scotch Brite pad in prep for priming. Took forever it seems, but kind of milked the job over the last week or two.
Vertical Stab Rear Spar: Reworked some rivets and cleaned things up a bit. Went over everything with the squeezer for uniform depths and consistency. Drilled four or five rivets and replaced using pneumatic squeezed rivets. As many folks have mentioned, I had to trim the rivets to fit better before squeezing. Otherwise some of them tend to squeeze over to one side. Will set the flush mount rivets tomorrow evening. Finally plan to reprime the spar once everything is riveted. That should clean things up a bit.
