I installed the oil cooler (I’m using a wider one than stock) and realized a major problem with inadequate clearance between the engine mount and the oil cooler fittings. The concern is when the engine starts or shuts down it will twist in its mount and the cooler fittings may contact the engine mount. I decided the fastest cure for this was to rotate the cooler 180 degrees so the fittings face outboard and get longer oil lines to reach them. The problem now is the fittings protrude too far outboard and will likely interfere with the cowl. I need to address that somehow.
