Brief Description: Started fabrication of wing tie down assembly.
I began by reducing the length of the tie downs slightly as per drawing 15A. Then I drilled the lightening holes with a 7/8" Unibit then cut the spacers to length. I edge finished them and will drill some match holes tomorrow.
Note: The end of the tie down I trimmed then finished on the scotch bright wheel got pretty hot so I marked the opposite end for the tie down ring tapping. I was concerned that if I try to tap the end I heated it may be difficult as the metal may have hardened.
