Brief Description: Rolling the Elevator leading edges.
Sean and I got to work on rolling the leading edges of the Elevators. We didn't finish but we got all the pipe bends complete and have a bit of hand forming left then the blind rivets. It works best to use the pipe and roll a single section of leading edge at a time. (The sections are divided up by the gaps the bearing ends will eventually be screwed into). I suggest that you buy the highest quality Duct tape (Scotch or equivalent) for this job. We had some cheaper stuff that simply stretched away from the skin at first. That was nothing a visit to the closest 'Airplane Depot' couldn't fix. My pipe set up has holes that allow short rods to pass through providing a good grip to rotate the pipe. All in all not a bad result, the third picture looks like the rolled edge is deformed a bit, but when cleco's (or rivets) are installed the edge is pretty descent. Next up is doing some tweaking on the rolls and match drilling.

Positioning the pipe so it lies flush with the skin edge.
