Brief Description: Deburred and dimpled left tank skins and ribs.
I carried out the tedious task of deburring the left hand tank skins and tank ribs. Then I used my DRDT-2 to dimple the skins edges to accept a #8 screw. Then I switched to my 3/32" Tank Dies to dimple the rest of the skin holes and the ribs. The tank dies set a slightly deeper dimple than the standard 3/32" die and is supposed to make a bit of room for the sealant that will be applied between the skin and ribs. I plan on using the Tank Dies for all the under structure for the rest of the airplane because I think it will allow the skin (dimpled with the standard die set) to fit a bit tighter. We’ll see.
