I tried a few more times to get the bends and dimensions correct for the upper gear leg to fuselage brake lines fabricated and finally succeeded. I also installed the elbow fittings at the lower end of the Grove gear legs and the caliper connection. I was going to bend hard aluminum lines to connect these two points as the plans suggest but decided (as many others have) to use flexible lines instead. For reference I checked to see how VA-102 (a fuel pressure sensing hose included in the firewall forward kit) would work and to my surprise the length was perfect. So, I decided I will use that and will order a couple more of these from Van's ($15.50 ea). FYI, I used a 45° AN823-4D fitting at the caliper and a 90° AN822-4D at the bottom of the gear legs to make the hose curve easily.
