I worked on the wiring for the seat heaters today. I cut away the Molex connectors from the control switches to the relay assemblies and soldered the switches directly. All looked good except one thing; it didn't work. Both 10 Amp fuses blew as soon as I turned the switches on. I traced the problem back to how the connectors (that I removed) were wired. You can see in Image 3 that the white wire changes to a black in the connector. Silly me, I assumed that the manufacture would have carried the same wire color through a connector! Anyway, I'll just have to fix that another day when I get some wire splices in my next Aircraft Spruce order. At least I know the fuses work! I have now fixed my mistake and all works as advertised.
