Brief Description: Flap installation and rigging - Part 1.
I have set the alignment and the incidence of both wings and have clamped the aft spar in position. I wanted to install the flaps to ensure proper fuselage to flap interface before drilling the aft spar bolt hole. The right flap interface with the fuselage bottom is spot on, but the left flap hangs a bit low when in trail with the aileron. I will investigate this tomorrow. I am using an aftermarket pushrod for flap actuation and because it has a greater diameter than the Van's stock part the exit holes at the bottom of the fuselage needed trimming. This is very time consuming and I will continue with it tomorrow.
