Brief Description:  Rivel ribs to spars

Today we riveted the ribs to the spars. The rear spar rivets require about 8 different rivets. Each rib requires a thorough inspection of the plans for the correct size rivet. I squeezed and dad handed me the correct size and type. Its true! Two brains are better than one.
Next we riveted the ribs to the main spar. These rivets require bucking. After a quick lession, dad was bucking the tails like a pro. All the rivets on the top came out great except the one I slipped off of and we had to drill that one out and start over. With the ribs in we just couldn't stop there so we got the skins out along with the wing walk doubler and figured out what we needed to do next.

We drilled the doubler and colecoed the upper skin to the spar and ribs. The skin laid flat with no wrinkles or bowing. The wing is starting to look like something and the skins really stiffened everything.
