Yesterday and today were spent installing nut plates on the trim tab hinge. Ninety holes to drill and debur, then sixty of those to countersink, followed by squeezing sixty rivets. I don't envy my RV buiilding friends.

I then mounted the trim tab to the stabilizer, to see just how difficult it's going to be to construct the gap filling piece described in the manual. That wouldn't be too hard at the inboard edge, where there is space, but at the outboard edge, it's virtually impossible. Part of the problem is my decision to install the nutplates to make the hinge removable. This problem is going to take some thought.
