Brief Description:  Landing gear polishing.

I decided that my airplane was going to have all the metal surfaces polished and then clear coated so I wouldn't have to keep polishing them over and over. I started with the nose wheel assembly and it came out GREAT! I used the only polisher in Temecula who has, since these first few jobs, closed up his shop and moved down to San Diego to poliish for his brother's Harley shop.

The nose wheel originally had raised areas along the edge of the rim for screws to attach a hub cap, so I had to grind them off flat and then find countersunk stainless hex screws to fill the threads in each hole.

I had all the hardware for the nosewheel fork assembly polished, including the tow link attachment point and hardware. It really looks good. Can't wait to get the rest polished too! I plan to learn the polishing techniques and eventually do some of it myself.
