Brief Description:  EAS Sequenced Gear Door System

I'm using the Experimental Aircraft Systems (EAS) sequenced door system (SDS) for my landing gear and decided that I needed to mock up the system before trying to installl it in my aircraft. The instructions from EAS leave a lot to be desired and the photos they enclosed were of a rather haphazard installation.

The SDS will cause my inboard gear doors to be closed at all times except when the gear are in transit either up or down. It is a true sequenced door system that will not allow the gear to move until the doors are out of the way. It also solves the gear door rub problem that has plagued the Legacy from the beginning.

I used a piece of plywood and drilled holes to mount the valves. Aluminum hydraulic tubing and AN fittings were used to layout and connect the components. I then laid out the wire connections to get an idea of where they all went and how the wiring harness might be constructed. It took a lot of hours to make sense of the system and how it works....and I'm still not sure I understand it fully. It will be a very fun and interesting process when I get to the point of actually installing it into the aircraft!
