Brief Description:  Windshield Install

Today, I got up early to clean up my painting mess, and then get the airplane ready to install the windshield. I had to rivet adel clamps on the electrical bundles coming down the front of the door post, and then prep the top fiberglass/aluminum retainer. A friend from our EAA Chapter, Pat Donovan, came over to help. We used 3M windshield tape under the front, and then Bostick 1100 under the rest -- what a mess. If you move the windshield, the Bostick also moves. That said, it easily cleaned up with denatured alcohol. After an hour and a half, we had it in place, our hands cleaned up, and the retainers cleco'd in place. Unfortunately, I didn't have enough large dome head rivets to complete installing my retainer. I put out a call on the builders site, but will likely have to bite the bullet and order some.
