Brief Description:  Wing Rotisserie

Several months ago, I purchased a steel wing rotisserie off the Vans Air Force website. It looked well made but was meant to fit an RV Wing. Today, since the wing is ready for skinning, I took time off to modify it for the Super Rebel. I didn't want to ruin the functionality for RV's, as I might want to sell it. So, I figured how to bolt an extension onto one of the attachments on the main rotisserie. It's a 1x2 steel tube with 3/16 flat stock welded on the ends. It's held onto the main rotisserie with 2 1/2" bolts. There is a similar stand for the other side, but not with the tube type rotator, only a large bolt. Since there was no way to attach it, I cut out two wood ribs. One, I trimmed and split at the spar to put inside the outboard wing rib. The other is on the outside. I bolted them together and attached them to the other rotisserie stand. I'll add more pictures tomorrow.

My plan is to move the wing off the table, and slide sawhorses underneath to work on skinning. I'll use the rotisserie to rotate it when required, it should be safer than getting neighbors to help turn the wing over.
