Today, I final riveted the last fuel tank access cover. I then drilled holes on the bottom outboard edge for the wing tip installation. After some clean up and vacuuming, I flipped the wing over. I then drilled the upper outboard edge for the wing tip, and then worked on the landing light lens. My first attempt was to bend a 1/8 inch piece of lexan in place with my heat gun. I couldn't get the heat even enough, so made a mold and bent it in the kitchen oven. I then installed it and cut out a framed to cover the edges. I bent the edges so they covered the lip, but because of the leading edge bend, I'll need to shrink it. Since I don't have a good shrinker, I'll need to find someone that does and get some help. I'll also probably remake the lens cover. This one was too thick to get it bent nicely. I'll try some different types of plexiglass.
