Today, my plans were hijacked by an emergency sewer repair -- I had a check valve freeze and break in my high pressure sewer line downstream of my grinder pump. Ugh! Finally, though, I got back to work and was able to install rivnuts in two of the larger access covers, and also proseal the access cover in the fuel tank once I installed the fuel pressure sender. On this, I used proseal, then cleco'd it and will leave it for at least 24 hours, then install tank rivets with proseal. This is the method recommended on the Vans Air Force Forum and I thought this tank cover was a good place to try it. The thought is that riveting immediately often squeezes out all the proseal.
