Today I was able to reach in and clean/scuff and clean again the whole area in the first bay along the front lower spar flange. I tried to Vacuum some Type A2 Proseal in, but since the leak was horizontal, I didn’t really have a single point to introduce the A2. The outlet area was too large. So, I put an acid brush on a long dowel, and completely recoated the lower flange area through the fuel filler neck. Then, I elevated the trailing edge so I have a really good puddle all along the edge and over the rivet tails. Now, I just need to wait and let it dry. As long as my leak didn’t continue into the 2nd bay area, I’ll be ok. If it did, I might simply try a 2 ¼” hole between the stringers on top, and do everything again through that hole. Extension on a drill to clean, long vacuum attachment, and forceps with cloth/MEK and then A2.
