Brief Description:  Wing and Tank Skin Installation

Today I had two visitors, Gary Warner, the VP for Corporate Development at Precision Conversions, and Ron Winter, a friend from Catman Consulting in Washington DC. They were on a business trip to the St. Louis area and decided to stop in for a visit and one of Ruth's famous lunches.

This afternoon, I removed the leading edge extension skin and deburred what I could reach. In addition, I ran the three power leads through the conduit, two for the landing lights and one for the position light on the wing tip. I used a three wire, 22 AWG, twisted wire. Black for the inboard landing light, Orange for the outboard landing light, and yellow for the position light. I still need to run the ground wires and attach to a common point on the airframe, in this case the wing spar. At the root end of the wing, I terminated the wires in a female Molex Connector.

Next session, remove the entire leading edge, more deburring, and repair several rib flanges that moved during the drilling process.
