Brief Description: Wing and Tank Skin Installation
Today, I enlisted the help of neighbors to flip the wing back over (third time) and after leveling, match drilled the spars on the upper side. Then, I drilled out some of the #40 to #30 on the ribs. Next work session, I'll finish drilling out the rest of the #40 holes on the upper side of the wing prior to turning it over again.
The only problem I've consistently encountered is broken drill bits. The last batch I purchased from Aircraft Spruce don't seem to last as long as those I've ordered from Avery tools. I've been using Tap Magic for AL, but drilling through the main spars with a #40 bit is really hard on them. I ordered another batch from Avery late this afternoon, in the meantime, I hope my last two hold out.
