Today, I spent time drilling/reaming the holes for the strut attachments, something I didn't do when I completed the main spars -- didn't have the proper reamer at the time. I did find that reamers are much less expensive at the local tool supply store (contractors) than the aviation supply houses where the mark-up are really high. $12 vs $30.
Then, I began the tiring work of pulling the plastic off the 150 or so shims. I was dismayed at the tool marks, in some places edges are 1/8 inch off and need quite a bit of clean up.
