Brief Description:  Main Spar

Today, Ruth and I spent the better part of the day riveting. It appears Murphy Aircraft only provided the exact number of rivets necessary, and consequently, since I used quite a few of certain sizes to practice we didn't have enough to finish. I anticipated this, and ordered some more from ACS yesterday, they should arrive tomorrow. No problems. Once we got on a roll, no problems. Adding Pro-Seal (A2) to the rivets in the fuel tank area slowed us down a bit, but we didn't really have any problems. We did about 10 at a time, changed gloves frequently, and cleaned up messes as we went along. As soon as the other rivets arrive, we should be able to finish in less than two hours.

I also pulled the Avex rivets in the outer wing spar extension area. Those are now complete as well. Since we haven't done much riveting, I've asked a couple of people to stop by and check out work to help us decide which ones should be drilled out.

Tomorrow, a bit of lawn work and then work on the other spar.
