Brief Description:  Exhaust and EMS

Today, I made several trips back and forth to Joe's, fitting the exhaust. Then, I turned my attention to the EMS. I need to complete all the hookups. I mentioned earlier I purchased a used VM1000C from Stein, and apparently the previous owner had the instrument on the other side of the panel. His longer CHT/EGT leads were backwards to mine. So, I took the DSUB Connector apart, removed the pins and swapped them to the appropriate places. For some reason, they were real buggers to get out. But, in the end, I got it all redone. Then, I spent some time determining routing around the engine, and then began the process of splicing the previously cut extension wires. I cut them appropriately, stripped a small bit at the ends, and then put a hook shape on each end. I hooked them together, crimped, and installed a solder sleeve on top of each. I also offset the two leads in each wire so the solder sleeves didn't lie together. Finally, I added heat shrink over the top of each.
