Today, based on advice from Darryl Murphy, I removed the earlier SR2500 doubler mod. This involved making new doublers (4) and moving them to the outside of the elevator horn vice inside, adding a square tube between each horn doubler, and then adding a strap that ties the top doublers with the bottom doublers. There were a lot of steps and it took quite a while. Tomorrow, I will prime and complete final assembly. All I have left on the elevator is to tweak my trim servo placement a bit, add a protective tube to the trim servo, and then rivet the last open side of the elevator. Probably a full day and a half of work.
Lesson Learned, changes and modifications really add to the build time. Think things through carefully and only do them once, even if you have to wait for an answer/recommendation from someone.
