After visiting Ted Waltman last week, I decided to remove the skin from my trim tab and add two more ribs under the servo horns. I had built it to the original plans, except for the modified trim horns. It is a shame the complete list of modifications is not available to review prior to constructing every item. This is the one problem I don't understand with Murphy aircraft. Consequently, everyone is left to themselves. Thank goodness for a great builders network.
I removed the bottom of the skin, fitted two new ribs into place, and made a couple of other changes with flanges on the outer ribs etc. This took an enormous amount of time. At the end of the day, I primed the various parts and will reassemble them tomorrow.
I've decided to use Rivet Nuts for mounting the servo backing plate, and will wait until I attend Sun-N-Fun to try and buy a Rivet Nut tool at a reasonable price.
