Today, I focused on draining the right fuel tank. I pulled the aft pitcock and let it drain straight into a large funnel in a 5 gal can. When full I put the pitcock back in. I repeated this three times. Then, on the advice of a local race car builder, I used something called Seal All on the two rivets. First, I used a number 36 drill to create a pit in the head of each rivet, cleaned, and then put the Seal All in. It is a clear liquid that dries in 3 minutes or so. I put on three coats. We'll see how it seals up the leaking rivets, but I'm told it does a great job. Even if it buys me time until I can proseal them in the warmer spring, it would be great. I also removed the faulty rpm sensor and mailed it back to the shop in Olympia WA. Hopefully it will come back next week.
