Today, I drove to Arnold MO to pick up two gallons of yellow topcoat. Perhaps I should have only ordered one. But, we'll see. Once home, I decided to mask off the wing at a seam, paint, then flip it over and paint from below up to the top of the leading edge. Basically, epoxy primer, wait three to four hours, topcoat of white, then topcoat of yellow. I was successful in only putting on one coat of yellow. No zebra stripes etc.
The paint is PPG Low Denisty Quick Dry Epoxy Primer, 02Y040B, the same primer used by Wipaire. The Topcoat is PPG Desothane HS CA8800 buffable polyurethane.
