Brief Description:  Prop and Spinner fit

Several things today. First, I continued working on the Vans Air Box. Ugh! If you spend $190, the parts should fit. The directions indicate the top aluminum plate should be flat. However, the expoxy airbox has a curve in it. My choices are to put a curve in the top or cut the airbox and re-epoxy it. I spent the rest of the time this morning cutting out the tabs that hold the filter in place and began riveting those and the nutplates in place.

In the afternoon, a friend, Gale Derosier, came over and helped me put the prop/spinner on. The top of he cowl fit perfectly, but the lower cowl bulged out toward the aft edge of the spinner. We decided since the lower cowl was already fitted in terms of Skybolt fasteners etc., that it would be best to rework the front of the cowl around the spinner. I'll begin that tomorrow.
