Today, at high noon, N25SR took to the skies for approximately 45 minutes. The flight was relatively uneventful with only a few minor discrepancies. Notable, the airplane was really fast and I wasn’t able to get it up to the 75% power range for adequate engine break in procedures. We had cloud cover at 2500 ft limiting my ability to climb. Consequently, it wanted to go too fast and I had to throttle back more than I wanted. It’s going to be a real performer.
The discrepancies were a leaking valve cover gasket on #1 and the radio transmits as if a stuck mic.
