Today I put the plenum in place, added a quart of oil, and redid the constantly failing split ring on the seat hold down. I need to find thicker, yet small split rings. Finally, I pulled the airplane out of the hangar for an engine run. Still, no rpm indication. Frustrating. Luckily, several of the guys that had come up for the first flight helped me troubleshoot. We realized I had the sensor in the incorrect port on the Bendix S200 mag. You couldn't see the correct port with the naked eye with the mag installed. So, we pulled the mag and installed the sensor in the correct port. Now the wire was too short so I need to lengthen the sensor wire and time the mag. Will do tomorrow.
